Dr. Grant's dental career began when she met her future husband, Dr. Cary Goldberg, at the University of Illinois where they both attended college. With his encouragement, along with that of her father-in-law, also a dentist, she set out to follow an educational path which ultimately led her to attend dental school. She and her sister both had braces as young teenagers, and it was this previous experience, in addition to her beautifully enhanced smile, which paved the course for a career specializing in orthodontics.

Dr. Grant received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991 from the University of Illinois Dental School, where she was inducted into the Omikron Kappa Upsilon Fraternity, an honor for excellence in dentistry. She then attended Northwestern University Dental School, where she completed her Master of Science degree and received her orthodontic certificate in 1993.

Dr. Grant's affiliations include: the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society. She is also a member of the Homewood-Flossmoor Chamber of Commerce and is a supporter of many local businesses and charities.

Dr. Grant followed a long path to her ultimate goal of becoming an orthodontist and she loves to share her experiences with other young women who aspire to a career in the dental profession. As a mother of two daughters, she knows how important it is to improve a child's self-esteem by creating beautiful new smiles. She feels she has the ultimate balance in life: a rewarding career and a wonderful family to share life's journeys with!

When she is not practicing in her office, Dr. Grant spends most of her time with her husband, Cary and their two beautiful daughter's Kendall and Jolie. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and biking, and having fun at the beach during the summer. Dr. Lisa reserves time for exercising and doing yoga which also provide balance in todays' hectic lifestyle!
